The Fatshark HDO2 has a distinct balance plug is no longer required to run the fan. The speed of the fan can be changed with the button; it does not require a separate power plug. The power button is configured with hardware that turns the goggles on and off.

Display Performance

Fat Shark doesn’t manufacture the display panels themselves, they outsource them elsewhere but No compromises have been made here. It provides bright and clear pictures, has good contrast, and amazing color reproduction. These are vastly superior to any budget goggle and possibly the best on the market today.

HD Performance

Plugging the Fat Shark HDO2 into an HD source enables you to output a 720P HD picture at full resolution.  Its text is clear and the picture is clear and perfect. You can’t use the goggles in 4:3 modes over HDMI, which means it will always be letterboxed hence you can’t make use of the whole screen.

Build Quality

Everything matters its body is built to a high standard with quality materials making it very durable while still looking , feeling, and work the way it’s intended. Its Optical adjustment controls are a little stiff, but this is a pro as this prevents them from moving out of place accidentally. The goggle remembers the last-used AV mode, and the fan does an excellent job of cycling fresh air into the eye areas.
