For the lovers of Syma X5C, they would be excited to get the FPV version – Syma X5SW. This is a nice FPV quad for pilots starting out, it’s easy to fly, powerful to jump and up quickly. Descending is a little tricky but still doable. This quad comes with a compact size, but with the asserted military grade airfoils, it has no problem to fly in a light breeze.

Flight time is as rated about 6 minutes. This quadcopter also offers an extra benefit for us. It we place order, we’ll get two extra batteries for free, but they are sent in different parcels and arrive at later date. To reach longer flight time, we can replace the included 500mAh battery. I had tried using a 750mAh 35C from another quadcopter that fit without trouble, and the quad is a beast!

As to the most expected FPV equipment, Syma X5SW adopts a 2MP camera, but in fact, it has a bit lag. Photo effect is not bad, while the video resolution not that great. Well, for this sub US$100 quad, we can’t ask more. Good thing is that there is a anti-vibration foam for camera so we can get zero jello effect. Besides, you can mount a smart phone on the holder to have a real-time viewing. But there is no SD card slot, you can only record through APP. It also supports WIFI function, allowing real-time transmission.
